On the 4th of July, Scott, Mom T, Dad T, and I went deep sea fishing. It was a BLAST! We woke up very early on Friday morning and drove out to Sheep’s Head Bay in Brooklyn and hopped on the Brooklyn VI boat. Little did we know this boat was full of ONLY fisherman! We stuck out like a sore thumbs! Here we were totally tourists, Mom and Dad was dressed in their nice shirts and slacks (they didn't know they would be going fishing), I was in my swim suit, thinking I would get a tan, and Scott was in his flip flops, BOY were we in for a trip! 15 fish later and fish gutted cloths, we were laughing all the way home about our hilarious fishing frenzy.
The boat had a fish finder and so when they would sound the horn we all threw our lines in and started franticly reeling fighting blue fish in the boat. Once we caught the fish the boatmen would use a graft to pull the fish aboard and then the fish would just flap around until they would die. So needless to say, there was a lot of fish guts flying around. I don't think Mom and Dad will wear those cloths they wore again! Also the fish had teeth and so flip flops weren't the best idea for shoes, whoops! Anyway we were the entertainment on the boat for the fisherman, by the end of the trip we had all the fisherman and boatmen (the guys that worked on the boat whom we could not tell the difference), joking and hanging out with us. It was a day we will never forget!

That looks like such a fun experience!
I am so glad you blogged about that crazy fishing experience. Mom and Dad are still talking about it whenever we see them. I just wish we could have been there to laugh with you guys...our next trip to NY I guess.
What a blast and sounds like some good laughs! I love your pics...you guys really stand out among the fisherman. How did you get aboard that boat?
